Beertography of the Day - August 11th

Today's Beertography comes to us from Peter from Simply Beer. Peter is an excellent, award-winning homebrewer and hopes to open his own brewery someday soon. In the meantime, he brews gallon after gallon of great beer at home. This is Centennial hop that Peter grew in his very own backyard in New Jersey! You can also follow Peter's brewing adventures on twitter @SimplyBeer

So now we have our four selections for the week! Starting tomorrow morning, we'll open the polls to determine your favorite and that photo will be crowned Beertography of the Week on Monday.

Don't forget to email your beertography to beertography@gmail.com or you can just tag your tweet with #beertography and/or mention me @beertography.

Self-Harvested Hops!

Look good don't they? Simultaneous with the barleywine we're brewing, We're actually working on our first-ever homebrew with hops grown ourselves! I can't really take any credit for this other than being supportive, because our co-brewer Jeff is the one that purchased the hop rhizomes, planted them at a couple different places in NJ and harvested them. Then of course I missed the brewing with them too! But he was kind enough to provide this picture of them right before they went into the wort. We have high hopes for this one.
